What is a Natural Retreat?A Natural Retreat is essentially your chance to experience the unique nature of the countryside at first hand, in the finest luxury residences currently available in the UK

Beyond that a Natural Retreat is what you make of it. For some it's the chance to get away from it all in the most tranquil settings imaginable. For others it's about confronting nature at its most extreme and adventurous and challenging their own physical limits. A stay at a Natural Retreats residence is perfect for families, couples or groups.Above all else a Natural Retreat is about experiencing something new, exciting and mould breaking.

We wanted people to change the way they think about nature and luxury in the UK so we had to give them a reason to.

 If it meant redefining those concepts then so be it. If it meant redesigning the kind of holiday living experience people were used to then that was what we needed to do. Everything here is different. There was no precedent for the experience we wanted to provide our guests. We didn't want to create an artificial barrier between luxury and nature so we created living spaces that are almost an extension of their natural surroundings. We wanted to create luxury within nature, not just next to it. Every new design generation we create, pushes back the boundaries of luxury and nature.The use of natural materials in the design and build of our residences is just one example, as is the insistence on using locally produced materials. Our residences fit their local environment because they are made from the local environment.

 Established in 1954, the Yorkshire Dales National Park is an area of truly outstanding natural beauty with a range of wildlife habitats and a rich cultural heritage. It's a special place - a fantastic outdoor arena for recreation and peaceful relaxation and a haven for wildlife.

 

 

Covering an area of 1,762 square kilometres (680 square miles), the Yorkshire Dales National Park is located in the north of England, and straddles the central Pennines in the counties of North Yorkshire and Cumbria.

The Yorkshire Dales offers visitors a real taste of rural England and Natural Retreats has chosen to locate its residences close to the historic town of Richmond in North Yorkshire. Set within 54 acres of unspoilt countryside Natural Retreats Yorkshire Dales offers guests a chance to relax in tranquil surroundings whilst enjoying a host of leisure pursuits to suit every taste.
